Safari Itinerary
DAY 1
Your day starts early as our professional guide picks you up from your hotel in Arusha or Moshi in a 4×4 safari vehicle at 06:00 AM. Enjoy a comfortable 3.5-hour drive through scenic landscapes, with coffee plantations, Maasai villages, and the Great Rift Valley escarpment along the way.
At 09:30 AM, you will arrive at the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Stop at the Ngorongoro Viewpoint, where you’ll witness breathtaking panoramic views of the crater. Learn from your guide about the unique ecosystem and how Ngorongoro became a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
By 10:00 AM, descend into the crater for a game drive. Ngorongoro Crater is home to over 30,000 animals, offering one of the best chances to spot the Big Five in a single day. Spot lions, elephants, buffalos, rhinos, and leopards roaming freely in this natural wildlife sanctuary. Visit Lake Magadi, a shallow soda lake often filled with thousands of pink flamingos. Watch hippos in the Gorigor Swamp and observe the incredible behavior of animals in their natural habitat.
At 12:30 PM, enjoy a delicious packed lunch at a designated picnic site, surrounded by nature. At 01:30 PM, continue game viewing, visiting Lerai Forest, a hotspot for elephants and rare black rhinos.
At 04:00 PM, begin your ascent from the crater and start the return journey. A slow ascent gives you one last view of this breathtaking wonder. In the evening, you will be dropped off at your hotel.
