DAY 1

Mid-Morning to Afternoon:
• Tarangire National Park Game Drive
Explore the diverse ecosystems of Tarangire, famed for its towering baobab trees and Tanzania’s largest elephant population. Spot lions, giraffes, zebras, and more on a guided game drive.
• Picnic Lunch by the Tarangire River
Relish a freshly packed lunch in a serene riverside setting, watching wildlife gather along the water’s edge.

Late Afternoon:
• Transfer to Karatu
After your safari, continue to Karatu, a charming highland town nestled near the Ngorongoro highlands.

Evening:
• Check-in at Marera Valley Lodge (or similar)

• Dinner & Relaxation

DAY 2

Day 2: Ngorongoro Crater Safari & Return to Arusha

• Drive to Ngorongoro Conservation Area
Depart for the Ngorongoro Crater—just a 30 to 45-minute drive from Karatu. Enjoy the scenic ascent to the crater rim, where breathtaking views await.

Morning to Afternoon:
• Ngorongoro Crater Game Drive
Descend into the world’s largest intact volcanic caldera, a UNESCO World Heritage Site teeming with wildlife. Spot the Big Five, as well as zebras, wildebeests, hippos, flamingos, and more within this rich and self-contained ecosystem.

• Picnic Lunch Inside the Crater
Enjoy a scenic picnic lunch at one of the designated sites overlooking the crater floor—an ideal moment to soak in the views and reflect on your wildlife sightings.

Afternoon:
• Return to Arusha
After your game drive, begin the relaxing journey back to Arusha, arriving by late afternoon or early evening.
