Yellow Fever:
Required: Travelers arriving from or transiting through countries with a risk of yellow fever transmission must present a valid yellow fever vaccination certificate. This includes many African and South American nations. Please verify the latest requirements before your departure.
Recommended for All Travelers: It is generally advised for all visitors aged 9 months and above traveling to Tanzania, regardless of their origin or transit countries, to be vaccinated against yellow fever.

Hepatitis A and B:
Recommended:

Recommended: Travelers visiting rural regions, eating at local eateries, or going to areas with substandard sanitation should get vaccinated against typhoid.
Meningococcal Meningitis:
Advised During Dry Season (June–October): Especially for those visiting crowded areas or regions with known outbreaks.
Rabies:
Consideration: Ideal for travelers with anticipated close contact with animals—such as those volunteering with animals, hiking, or staying in rural locations.
Cholera:
Precautions: While not common, cholera can occur sporadically. Consider vaccination if traveling to affected areas or if you are at increased risk. Always practice safe food and water hygiene.
Malaria:
Preventive Measures: Malaria is prevalent throughout Tanzania, including Zanzibar.

COVID-19:
